Analysis of the Causes of Malfunctions in the Installation of Zinc Pot with Three Rolls and Six Arms
 
The zinc pot sinking roller device consists of sinking rollers, stabilizing rollers, positioning rollers, inner and outer sleeves, and sinking roller support arms.
The quality of its operation directly affects the product quality of hot-dip galvanized steel plates and the comprehensive benefits of the galvanizing unit.
The length of its service life is also an important indicator for determining the quality of its work.     

1. Under the tension drag of the strip steel, the sinking roller device causes the roller to not rotate or rotate poorly,
resulting in scratches on the surface of the strip steel due to excessive sliding with the roller surface during operation,
which requires the replacement of the sinking roller device. This situation usually occurs in the early stages after the replacement of the sinking roller device. After analysis, the problem lies in the following aspects.   

(1) The assembly of the shaft sleeve, the clearance between the top pin, and the assembly correction of the roller system have errors,
resulting in the sinking roller device experiencing roller jamming or excessive resistance in the hot state of the zinc liquid, thereby affecting its normal rotation.
Solution: Establish standardized control size standards and calibration accuracy, and strictly implement them during assembly.      

(2) The uneven heating of the roller system before entering the zinc pot causes excessive deformation of the sinking roller device under thermal stress,
resulting in poor rotation of the rollers. Solution: Heating should not be too fast, and the roller surface and arm sleeve should be preheated evenly.  

(3) Due to the high density of sinking and stabilizing roller materials and the high friction of the shaft sleeve, the rotation of the roller is not smooth in extremely thin plates or high-speed states.
Only by reducing the friction torque at the roller neck can the roller rotate smoothly. Now, by narrowing the curvature of the shaft sleeve processing,
the friction between the shaft sleeve and the arm sleeve has been greatly reduced, and the speed of the roller has been increased.   

In addition to the above points, Qingdao Hexin Machinery Co., Ltd. also believes that improper operation of the roller system during,
and after boiling can cause deformation of the sinking roller, stabilizing roller, roller surface, or shaft head! This seriously affects the service life of the sinking roller and the stabilizing roller.
