According to the Prandtl's boundary layer theory, when the fluid flows in the furnace tube of the radiant section of the cracking furnace, there are flow boundary layers and temperature boundary layers near the tube wall. The thermal resistance of the boundary layer is large, and the heat transfer efficiency of the cracking furnace tube is significantly reduced. At the same time, due to the existence of the boundary layer, the coking rate of the furnace tube increases and the operation period of the cracking furnace is shortened.
After the twisted sheet tube section is installed in the furnace tube of the radiant section of the cracking furnace, the flow form of the fluid in the tube changes from a plug flow to a swirling flow, which forms a strong scouring effect on the inner wall of the furnace tube, greatly reduces the thickness of the boundary layer, and increases the furnace tube in the radiant section. The overall heat transfer coefficient reduces the temperature of the furnace tube wall, reduces the coking rate, prolongs the operation period of the cracking furnace, and reduces the energy consumption.
2.3. Technical indicators
(1) The temperature of the furnace tube wall in the radiation section of the cracking furnace drops by more than 20 °C;
(2) The cracking furnace cycle is extended by more than 50%;
(3) Fuel consumption decreased by about 0.5%. 
4. Technical features
