Due to the different purposes of investment casting fixtures, there are many heat treatment processes, which can be divided into two main categories. The structure changes.
The first heat treatment procedure is mainly used to eliminate the internal stress of investment casting fixtures, which is caused by different cooling conditions and conditions during the stainless steel casting process. The structure, strength and other mechanical properties are not significantly changed due to heat treatment.
For the second type of heat treatment, the base structure of investment casting fixtures has undergone significant changes, which can be roughly divided into five categories:
1. Softening annealing: The main purpose is to decompose carbides, reduce the hardness of investment casting fixtures, and improve the processing performance. For ductile iron, the purpose is to obtain more ferrite structure.
2. Normalizing treatment: the main purpose is to obtain pearlite and sorbite structure to improve the mechanical properties of investment casting fixtures.
3. Quenching treatment: mainly to obtain higher hardness or wear strength, and at the same time improve the surface wear resistance of investment casting fixtures.
