8.surface hardening by flame heating
Operation method: use oxygen - acetylene gas mixture combustion flame, spray to the steel surface, rapid heating, immediately after water spray cooling quenching temperature is reached.
Objective: to improve the steel surface hardness, wear resistance and fatigue strength, heart remain toughness condition.
Application points: 1. More for medium carbon steel parts, general hardening layer depth is 2 ~ 6 mm; 2. Suitable for single piece or small batch production and the need of partial quenching of large scale workpiece artifacts.
