The advantages of casting
(1)To adapt to the range. Casting process is almost not affected by casting size, thickness and the shape complexity limit, casting wall thickness of 0.3 ~ 1000 mm, length from a few millimeters to more than 10 meters, quality from a few grams to above 300 t. The most suitable for production of complex shape, especially the inner cavity of complex parts.
(2)Casting process can be widely used in materials, almost all that can melt into liquid alloy materials can be used for casting. Such as cast steel, cast iron fly renew all kinds of aluminum alloy, copper alloy, alloy, iron alloy, bowl alloy castings, etc. For poor plastic the brittleness of the alloy material, casting is the only feasible forming process.
(3)The size of the casting has certain accuracy. In general, than regular size precision forging, welding forming.
(4)Low cost, good comprehensive economic performance, energy and material consumption and cost less than for other metal forming method.
The disadvantages of casting
(1) The low level of technology.
(2) die casting a serious crack problems.
(3) It has not been widely used simulation software.
(4) High energy and raw material consumption.
(5) Casting the tightness of poor
(6) Equipment needed for the high cost of equipment, such as die casting machine die casting, melting furnace, holding furnace and production of die casting mould and other charge is quite expensive.
(7) Need more materials and equipment, and pollute the environment. Casting production will produce dust and harmful gas and noise pollution to the environment, more serious compared to other mechanical manufacturing process.
